Handy Tips Giving a tip   Young People Boy and Girl

Handy Tips

Heating – Power/Gas Cards: Contact the electricity and gas board about installing meters that allow you to pay as you go. These are easier to control, as you know what you are spending.

Food: Takeaways are more expensive than cooking for yourself. Try to plan your weekly shopping and look for bargains.

Travel: If you have to travel about, buy a season ticket as it makes every trip cheaper.

Phone: It may be better to have a pay as you go mobile as you know exactly how much money you have left and you can control your spending. Also you won’t have to pay line rental.

Homeless and at school

If you want to stay at school and you find yourself homeless you might face problems i.e. getting to school from emergency accommodation.

Homework - is there peace and quiet to put a reasonable effort into schoolwork?
