Borders Common Housing Register (CHR) Pilot - homehunt Hawick
Eildon
Housing Association, Scottish Borders Housing Association, Waverley
Housing and Cairn Housing Association have implemented the Common
Housing Register (CHR) for the Hawick area. If you are looking for
social rented housing in Bonchester Bridge, Denholm, Hawick, Newcastleton,
Newmill, Southdean, Teviothead or Wilton Dean, just tick the CHR Check
box in the 'Contact a Housing Provider' form, instead of sending your
application to the individual housing associations.
Cairn
Housing Association Ltd (CHR)
Cairn Housing Association Ltd (CHR) has over 2,300 properties under management
throughout Scotland, with over 100 properties in the Borders area. Nationally
the organisation provides a range of housing, with a number of sheltered
and amenity properties being provided within the Borders area. Cairn also
has limited provision for special needs and further details are available
from the organisation.
Cairn Housing Association Ltd's objective is to meet local housing needs
throughout Scotland, in partnership with local authorities, Communities
Scotland and others, until homelessness and poor housing conditions no
longer exist.
The organisation operates a points based allocations system, awarding
points for existing housing situation and personal housing need. Properties
are allocated on the basis of housing need at the time an allocation is
made.
More information, including eligibility criteria for specific housing
types, stock details and rental charges can be found in the Guide
to Housing Options.
